Tired Bones

Tired Bones moves within a liminal space between body, memory, and inner space. At once personal and abstract, the works emerge from an exploration of the self — an intuitive process where emotions, memories, and inner states are translated into form.

The hand-built, one-of-a-kind sculptures feature organic forms, like fragments of an inner landscape. They suggest gestures in transition, incomplete and unfolding.

The exhibition presents ceramic sculptures and a single video work. Among them are a few of the artist’s personal favourites made between 2023 and 2024, alongside new sculptures created in 2025 specifically for this exhibition.

Elena Palomo is a Finnish-Spanish ceramic artist whose hand-built, organic sculptures explore identity and cultural heritage, as well as embodiment and emotion. Her artistic practice is intuitive and multidisciplinary, aiming to create multisensory exhibition environments in which the sculptures often interact with sound, movement, and space.
